Meet D'Isjah
Pull up a chair, grab a drink and lets talk introductions

I'm D'Isjah and when I'm not behind the camera. I'm buying dresses from target, Jamming to R&B classics, and waiting on rainy days to dance in the rain.

My good friends and family would describe me as having an spontaneous soul... as I am the one always on Airbnb booking our next trip, creating new dishes with random food items in the kitchen. and snuggling up with my dog while bing - watching a Netflix series.
I'm partial to Thai food, traveling to new places, TACOS (can taco Tuesday be everyday please), dancing to a happy tune, and forestry areas (with bug spray of course).

SO TELL ME Dee - WHAT DOES WORKING WITH YOU LOOK LIKE? I WANT ALL THE DETAILS.
When Did I Start Photography?
I was 14 years old when I had my first photoshoot in my backyard with my 1 year God sister. My first shoot was not with a professional camera... it was with my LG G2 Cell phone lol. I posted the photos onto my Facebook and the feedback I got from family and friends overflowed me. I felt AMAZING and so proud of my work!
Later that year when I was given a small point and shoot camera I spent HOURS upon HOURS of my day shooting anything I could find. Flowers, grass blades, rock piles - my family, you name it, I was there shooting it.

In 2016 I started my business as a 16 year old - I had few bookings for the year and gave up because I didn't truly believe in myself

Even years later when I bought my first DSLR (my pride and JOY), I didn’t picture myself as a wedding photographer. I deeply loved photography, yes, but capturing a wedding day?! That was for professionals. People who had all the right equipment, experience and creative drive. (Ummm younger Dee, oh how you were mistaken about this one) A wedding photographer? Maybe in 5 years? But not - now.
It started with a simple prayer, " God, give me purpose and direction." And I watched in awe as God opened door after door allowing me to capture such precious moments in peoples lives. My heart and soul was poured into learning; late nights studying new techniques + editing and re-editing. Oh how I didn’t expect to be here, right now, and I’m so grateful. I'm PASSIONATE about capturing God given love and documenting your real life fairy tales.
